The distinguishing feature of this Grade 1 church is the great crossing
tower completed in 1553 at the expense of the Duke of Northumberland.
Inside, there are many heraldic bosses in the tower as well as stained glass
by Martin Travers and Kempe.

The Grade 1 church is a mixture of styles from Norman to Perpendicular.
It was restored by Butterfield in the late 19th century. There is a good monument
of 1800 by Flaxman, and a fine modern screen under the tower arch.

This Grade 1 church is mainly Perpendicular. Its chief interest lies
in the 15th century wall paintings of St Christopher and Christ of the Trades.
There is also an oak screen and medieval stained glass in the north aisle.

The Grade 1 church is mainly 12th and 13th century. The bench ends
are of considerable interest as is the very rare survival in a north window of a
15th century Seven Sacraments window ( of which parts of five survive).

The church adjoins the gates of Charlton Park. The church is mainly
14th century although much restored in the 17th. There is a good monument
of 1598 to Sir Henry Knyvett as well as later memorials to the Earls of
Suffolk and Berkshire.
